Back Home

I’m back home in Florida just relaxing and taking it easy right now. I need about a month off before I am fully recovered and start to feel back to my normal self.
At the end of January or early February I’ll probably start getting back in the swing of things, start working out, doing some cardio. No heavy lifting, no serious training yet. Just something to work out the kinks.
I’d rather be playing, of course, but you can really use the time off to your advantage. Enjoy yourself, get your body healthy. Some guys get their surgeries done, whatever you need to do to get your body ready in time for offseason workouts to start again. I’m lucky this season, no surgeries for me.
I’m just going to stay home in Florida and relax, hang out with family and friends, sit on my couch and watch some TV, check out some games.
We were very disappointed with the loss to Seattle. The defense played great but the Seahawks made a couple big plays and things worked their way. Not to take anything away from Seattle, but we didn’t play our best. Turnovers hurt us, and when you have a game with that kind of playoff atmosphere and you’re on the road, you can’t make those kinds of mistakes and that’s what happened. You can’t beat yourself in a game like that.
It wasn’t our youth, because we’re a young team but we’re mature. Overall I think it will be a great learning experience for these guys and give us a lot to look forward to when next season starts. Next time we’re in that position, we’ll know what to do.
